LEARNING SIMPLE JAPANESE

Part of travelling to other places means familiarizing yourself with the local language and customs. Let’s prepare for a trip to Japan! Go to the course blog to find the links: actontraveltheworld.blogspot.com Enjoy!

(i) Your Name in Japanese:

Choose the Calligraphy and/or SansSerif style. They are the easiest to copy. Write your name in the box on the handout.

Now, using the same website, write the name of a family member or friend so you can share their name in Japanese with them.

(ii) How to Count to Ten in Japanese:

Days Two - Four

We discussed:

What is a tourist? What is the official definition? ... someone who travels to a place for more than 24 hours, but for less than a year.

Travel Motivators and Barriers (handout ... please see me if you need another copy)

The 5 A's of Travel and Tourism: Attractions (Biophysical or Cultural), Activities, Access, Accommodations, and Amenities (creature comforts).

We watched the Departures episode in Thailand with Scott and Justin. Using the handout, you were asked to identify the 5A's, and travel motivators and barriers for travelling to Thailand.

And finally, we learned about Travel Guides. Click on the link below to find the handout:
